Dr Patrick Carmichael

Dr Patrick Carmichael is Managing Director of Camtree, where he is responsible for strategic planning as well as the day-to-day operation of DEFI’s largest research programme. Originally a school teacher, Patrick has particular interests in the role of digital technologies in education systems.
Prior to joining Camtree, Patrick was a Professor of Teacher Education and Director of Research Development at the University of Bedfordshire, Professor of Educational Research at Liverpool John Moores University, and Head of Evaluation at the University of Cambridge’s Centre for Applied Research in Educational Technologies.
