Dr Genevieve Smith-Nunes, one of the original founders of DEFI, is a is a Senior Lecturer in Digital Media and PGCE Computing at University of Roehampton, UK and PGCE Secondary Computing at King’s College London, bringing a unique transdisciplinary perspective to both institutions. She researches data ethics and creative computing, with particular expertise in the ethical dimensions of biometric data collection, AI, and algorithmic decision-making. Her ground-breaking work on data-driven classical ballet demonstrates how traditional art forms can be ethically transformed and exemplifies her commitment to responsible innovation in the creative industries.
