DEFI Joins AI LEARN as Associate Partner
DEFI is pleased to announce that we are joining AI LEARN (Artificial Intelligence Centre for the Empowerment of Human Learning) as an Associate Partner.
AI LEARN is a newly launched research centre focused on hybrid intelligence — exploring how humans and artificial intelligence can learn, work, and create together in responsible and trustworthy ways. The centre is directed by Professor Barbara Wasson, also Director of SLATE at the University of Bergen, and Professor Michalis Giannakos of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
The centre has received significant support from the Research Council of Norway for the first five years of its research and brings together a strong national and international partnership across academia, the public sector, and industry.
DEFI has a long-standing relationship with Professor Ingunn Ness, Cluster Leader at AI LEARN, who we most recently hosted at Hughes Hall in September 2025. We extend our warm congratulations to Ingunn, Professor Wasson, Professor Giannakos, and all partners involved on the successful launch of this important initiative and look forward to collaborating in the future.
